Contractions function almost identically to the full two-word phrase, but are only appropriate in some places in a sentence. It’s one of the weird quirks of this language we’ve.

hey just a heads up, since i didn’t know this myself until very recently:
starbucks sells ice water for 25 cents! they give you a venti (you can ask for a trenta if you want more water and it’s the same price!) cup and fill it up with ice and fresh drinking water. i get them all the time.
it doesn’t seem like that big of a deal, but homelessness is a serious issue in the coming summer months and ESP in places like my state where the drinking water tastes atrocious so i figured i’d give you guys the heads up. having fresh cold drinking water makes a huge difference in 105+ F temperatures. water bottles can be expensive – you really can’t beat 25 cents.
last but not least – if you can, keep the cup. the 25 cents is for the cost of the cup and if the employees at your local starbucks are nice they’ll usually refill it for free.
in Arizona it’s illegal to charge for water because of the extreme heat! some places don’t charge for a regular sized cup, and some places you have to ask for a courtesy cup but you can get water for free literally everywhere
this is awesome to know, thank you! unfortunately i live in a neighboring state (Nevada) that gets just as devastatingly hot but for whatever reason doesn’t have laws in place that allow people free water :( so in our state (or at least in las vegas) water is 25 cents @ Starbucks and probably a small charge at other places, but it’s good to know some states have laws that protect people from becoming dehydrated. thank u!
there are other ways to spread lesbian positivity besides “i love girls, so soft and sweet and smell good. Soft soft soft. gentle and cute.” yes that’s good but there r girls who like girls who are not delicate and soft, who may not smell like roses, who aren’t “gentle and cute” but are still deserving of love and being uplifted? it isn’t right to see only one kind of girl being uplifted here, and your lesbian positivity should not just be about this one sweet and docile image of girls.
@ ppl who say deep male friendship is underrepresented in comparison to m/m romance: how have you managed to completely miss the buddy cop movie genre and also can you rec me all these gay movies you’ve apparently found an abundance of
